Add your bank account number and go through an identity verification process so we can send your earnings for bookings.

Video Call Interview: The first step is a video call interview with the potential companion. This allows the Helping Companions team to get to know the person on a more personal level and answer their questions.
ID Verification: The second step involves a thorough ID check. This is essential to ensure the identity of the companion is valid and verifiable.
Background Check: To take safety measures even further, a third-party background check is conducted on potential companions. This comprehensive background check examines various aspects of the companion's history, particularly focusing on any criminal background, including cases of fraud.

What kind of activities can Companions and Seniors do together?
Activities can range from simple conversation, walks, attending events, playing games, enjoying hobbies together and other activities listed on profiles.
Do Companions provide medical services?
No, Helping Companions focuses solely on providing companionship. We do not offer medical or home care services but can offer refer organizations that do.
Are Companions employees of Helping Companions?
No, Companions are independent contractors who use join our community to connect with Seniors. Companions set their own rates, schedules and services offered.
Are the Companions trained?
Companions are provided with guidelines and resources on how to foster rewarding, positive and engaging interactions with Seniors. Specific training is not required as our service solely focuses on companionship.
How much does this cost?
When booking a Companion, their hourly rates and minimum visit times are listed on their profile. Helping Companions has two options. We can either charge a 20% platform and support fee for each transaction, or you can pay an annual membership fee of $199.
Can I choose my own Companion?
Yes, seniors have the ability to review the various Companion profiles and select the individual they feel most comfortable with.
Are services available 24/7?
While Companion availability does vary, we strive to provide a wide range of schedules to fit individual needs, including extended Companionship.
What measures are taken to ensure Senior privacy and security?
We strictly adhere to privacy laws and use secure systems to protect personal data.
How long are the companionship visits?
Visit times can vary based on individual agreements between Seniors and Companions, ranging from a few hours to extended days companionship.
Can Seniors leave feedback about their Companions?

What happens if a match doesn't work out?
People are people and there are many personalities that do not necessarily work well together. If a Senior is not satisfied, they can simply make a new choice.
How do payments work
Payments to Companions are processed directly through the Helping Companions platform for convenience, safety and security.
Are there any contracts or long-term commitments?
Life has a way of interrupting well made plans. Our service allows for flexibility without long-term contracts. You can book one session or longer term.
How do you handle emergencies?
In any emergency, it’s important to call local emergency services immediately. Please also notify Helping Companions support as soon as possible.
